Season Highlights

The 18-1 team came out swinging on the first day of the tournament to win their four team pool.  Their opponents were from Ohio, Florida and Maryland. The 2nd day of pool play started out phenomenal with another big win over Premier volleyball from Michigan.  Things were looking up with and 4 and 0 record, but then the next two opponents proved to be tough moving our record to 4 and 2.  But the team rallied hard and came back with 4 more wins in a row on days three and four of the tournament to make their record 8 and 2 going into their final match against a team they beat on the first day.  This win would have put them in the final match to win the silver bracket for 9th place, but the team just couldn’t find the energy to take this one.  We lost our final match to tie for a 12th place finish in the tournament out of approximately 50 teams.  The team, parents and coaches were extremely happy with their 12th place finish at a national tournament!  Besides playing volleyball we had a great time at the Wet n Wild theme park, played numerous pranks on the coaches and 17-1 team, and had a nice day at Coco Beach and Ron Jon Surf shop to finish out the week.
